CLIMATE

ARTS AWARDS

Be part of the solution

On September 15th, 2019, NewArts hosted it's inaugural Climate Arts Awards, a gala like not other. Artists and arts organizations of all disciplines who are changing the conversation about climate change and impacting their communities were invited to perform, display, present and raise funds for their cause.

WHAT

WE DO

Our projects encourage racial and social harmony and open a window on the world and the communities they live in.

NewArts creates educational films and performances involving live music and actors to leave a lasting impact on its audiences. We perform in schools, festivals and community events. We provide skills and training for young apprentices who participate in the creation and delivery of our projects. We work in collaboration with community groups, governments, and agencies in service delivery.

WHO

WE ARE

A registered Canadian charity founded in 2007 by David Blackmore a recipient of the Fellowship of Man, Humanitarian Award. The organization seeks to broaden the horizons of diverse children, youth and the broader public through the creation of innovative arts and educational projects. We assist and inspire young people to pursue the many opportunities beyond their immediate environment and explore their world. Project activities operate out of the Regent Park Centre for Social Innovation in Toronto.
